About this role:
We are seeking a versatile Paralegal to lead our legal operations and contribute to the organization, maintenance and innovation of Groq’s corporate governance. In this role, you will also manage the contract management system, negotiate nondisclosure agreements, draft amendments and perform contract review. The paralegal will partner with nearly every team at Groq and have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with internal team members while building substantive and institutional knowledge that will help Groq succeed! Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:
- Manage Groq’s contract management system, including inbound and outbound contract requests throughout the life of the contract and maintain Groq’s standard contract templates that streamline the contracting process
- Take a leadership role for Groq’s legal operations architect and design of legal processes and operations
- Lead the NDA process, including review, revision and signature process
- Manage and administer various legal and compliance processes along with policy management.
- Identify, build, and improve legal workflows, focusing on efficiency, scale, and quality control, such as those related to the negotiation, signature, and storage of agreements, and the tracking of contractual obligations.
- Respond to legal requests from business teams by summarizing and communicating legal concepts and procedures
Ideal candidates have/are:
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technology, willingness to ask questions and be resourceful to accomplish work objectives.
- The ability to lead internal client relationships, providing direction and support in identifying and addressing their legal needs.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, particularly in an environment that requires constant prioritization of time-sensitive matters
- Led strategic projects for legal teams including cross-functional stakeholders
Qualifications for this role:
At minimum:
- Experience as a paralegal, contracts manager or legal assistant with case management or client management experience
- In-depth knowledge of NDAs and negotiating NDA agreements
- Ability to work with a wide range of contract types including service agreements, amendments, addendums, schedules and statements of work
- Experience with project management, building process design, and analytics and metrics
- Solid Understanding of legal software solutions and the ability to evaluate their usefulness
- Highly tuned research and analytical skills
Highly valued, not required:
- Previous tech industry experience or a deep interest and desire to learn about the industry
- Background in providing corporate support to emerging companies
- IP exposure, ideally docketing and patent applications

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $82,900 to $159,600, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
