As a Senior Data Analyst for Operating Rooms at LeanTaaS, you will support our mission to optimize healthcare capacity management through AI and predictive analytics. LeanTaaS partners with hospitals and health systems to solve complex operational challenges in Operating Rooms. In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding new healthcare clients, developing analytical prototypes for existing clients, preprocessing and troubleshooting data, and creating analytics that deliver actionable insights. Your work will directly contribute to improved OR utilization, increased surgical access, and enhanced operational efficiency across our partner health systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Data onboarding for new and existing customer sites, working with hospital IT and clinical teams to upload historical Operating Rooms (OR) data and establish ongoing data connections to LeanTaaS’s platform.
  • Acquire, validate, and maintain data from multiple hospital systems, ensuring clean and reliable inputs for iQueue for Operating Rooms.
  • Investigate and resolve issues in data ingestion and processing to keep analytics accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with the product team to build and refine analytical prototypes that inform future product features and insights.
  • Partner with product and customer teams to define data requirements, success metrics, and KPIs that reflect hospital operational goals.
  • Build Tableau dashboards that surface key OR metrics and support decision-making.
  • Work closely with internal teams and hospital stakeholders to uncover opportunities and deliver actionable analytics.
  • Coach and be a resource for other team members, sharing best practices for data quality, onboarding, and analytics.
  • WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a related analytical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with data analytics tools and databases (e.g., Excel, SQL, Postgres).
  • Significant experience with Tableau and proven ability to build clear, actionable data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI applications in analytics.
  • Proven ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to generate hypotheses and validate insights.
  • Experience investigating data integrity and accuracy, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Background working with Product Managers or in a product-oriented environment, using analytics to inform product strategy and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in writing queries, building reports, and presenting clear, actionable findings to stakeholders.
