Position Summary

LiquidStack, a Trane Technologies company, is helping shape the future of sustainable data center cooling. As demand for AI, cloud infrastructure, and high-performance computing continues to grow, we are expanding rapidly and seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant to join our team.

This is more than a traditional accounting role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

What You’ll Own

Financial Close & Reporting

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide meaningful insights
  • Support internal and external financial reporting requirements

Accounting Excellence & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls in a SOX-compliant environment
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Assist with technical accounting and reporting initiatives, including SEC-related support as applicable

Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

  • Support standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to understand cost drivers, improve forecasting, and enhance margins
  • Provide financial insight that drives efficiency and performance

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve accounting processes
  • Utilize ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel tools
  • Help build scalable systems and processes to support company growth

Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership teams
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting
  • Public accounting or public-company accounting experience preferred
  • Big 4 experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial close, reconciliations, and internal controls
  • Manufacturing, cost accounting, or inventory accounting experience preferred
  • ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills required; Alteryx or automation tools a plus
