Job description

Role Summary:

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Production Project Manager to support our manufacturing and production operations. This is an early-career role (1–2 years of experience) designed for someone who enjoys solving operational problems, improving processes, and ensuring critical production tasks don't fall through the cracks.

As a key member of the Production team, you will own and support a variety of cross-functional activities that keep production running smoothly. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and production teams to maintain accurate documentation, coordinate schedules, improve data quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is looking to build a strong foundation in operations, project management, and production systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy across engineering and manufacturing systems.
  • Create, edit, and revise production work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Maintain data quality and organization within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Assist with production scheduling, work order planning, and manufacturing prioritization.
  • Coordinate cross-functional action items to ensure production projects remain on track.
  • Support 5S initiatives and continuous improvement projects throughout the manufacturing floor.
  • Track engineering change orders (ECOs) and ensure manufacturing documentation stays current.
  • Monitor production metrics, identify process gaps, and help implement operational improvements.
  • Assist with inventory, material readiness, and production planning activities.
  • Provide general project coordination and administrative support for manufacturing operations.
  • Help identify operational bottlenecks and drive improvements to manufacturing workflows.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common productivity software.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with manufacturing documentation, BOM management, or production planning.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using ERP, PLM, or MES platforms.
  • Exposure to hardware manufacturing or electromechanical product development.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning and working within ERP, PLM, and MES systems.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

What Success Looks Like:

Within your first year, you will become the operational backbone for many of our day-to-day production processes by:

  • Keeping manufacturing documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Improving the quality and consistency of production data.
  • Helping engineering changes move efficiently into production.
  • Supporting predictable production schedules and minimizing administrative delays.
  • Driving small but meaningful process improvements that increase manufacturing efficiency.
  • Becoming a trusted partner across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.

This position is located onsite in Seattle, WA.
