Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Our Product Marketing team's mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe's product strategy and lead go-to-market for our suite of products. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product, Pricing, Sales, and Partnerships to name a few teams. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch.

We're looking for an experienced team member to shape our portfolio-wide pricing and monetization strategy, deeply understand competitor pricing, develop pricing playbooks, and work with our Growth Product team to run pricing experiments to grow adoption. In this role, you'll partner closely with our Product and Product Pricing teams to develop a portfolio monetization strategy, understand and craft a narrative around the value our products deliver to users, and engage cross-functional teams across sales, campaigns, and product to drive adoption and revenue across Stripe's existing customer base and prospects.

What you'll do

  • Be deeply data-driven. You like working with data and insights and pair that with your passion for users to generate balanced and thoughtful insights.
  • Be a storyteller. You have deep empathy for users and are able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience and differentiate Stripe. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keep things organized. You're able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track.
  • Be ambitious. You're eager to make an impact at Stripe. You thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic, hyper-growth environment and are able to operate fluidly between the 30,000-foot strategy level and the micro-detail to get things right.
  • Act as a team player. Product Marketers collaborate across the Marketing team and with basically every team at Stripe. You're able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with product, pricing, and sales teams to build pricing and monetization strategies, with the goal of driving revenue, improving customer experience and product attach.
  • Develop a strong understanding of user needs, competitor pricing and sources of differentiation relative to other alternatives. Enable sales teams in understanding and communicating the value of our products.
  • Launch new pricing constructs, develop go-to-market plans, and create messaging and positioning for different user segments.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 3+ years of prior experience with focus on pricing and monetization, and payments and fintech.
  • Experience with understanding competitor landscape, conducting detailed benchmarking and understanding competitive strategies.
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research on product needs and value perception.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with experience leveraging data to identify monetization opportunities and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with analytical tools. SQL experience is a plus.
  • Experience with financial services including online payments.
  • Hands-on mindset to get any job done.
