Join phData, a dynamic and innovative leader in the modern data stack. We partner with major cloud data platforms like Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Fivetran, and dbt to deliver cutting-edge services and solutions. We're committed to helping global enterprises overcome their toughest data challenges. Even though we're growing extremely fast, we maintain a casual, exciting work environment. We hire top performers and allow you the autonomy to deliver results.

Overview

We’re looking for a Principal Consultant who specializes in Snowflake Intelligence, Cortex AI, and low-code/no-code (LCNC) agentic platforms to help our customers build an “AI Workforce” that delivers tangible, business-ready value from their data. Our consulting services emphasize analytics and agentic activation, data visualization, data preparation, and data science. We specialize in Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Alteryx, KNIME, and AWS.

Principal Consultants in Analytics demonstrate strategic leadership and exceptional delivery excellence, independently managing and executing complex initiatives while balancing delivery, people leadership, and practice growth. In this role, you will define how Snowflake Intelligence and Cortex AI are used to create secure, scalable, and maintainable AI agents across some of the world’s largest enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior and C‑Suite stakeholders to identify “agent‑first” opportunities across business units and define multi‑phase AI Workforce roadmaps tied to clear business outcomes.
  • Lead the design of complex, production‑grade agentic systems using Snowflake Intelligence (no‑code/low‑code) and Cortex Search/Analyst, emphasizing configuration and semantic modeling over custom code.
  • Design multi‑step “Reasoning & Acting” (ReAct) flows using Snowflake’s UI, semantic layers, and native apps to orchestrate tools, policies, and data workflows.
  • Architect high‑accuracy retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and knowledge solutions using Cortex Search, with patterns for content onboarding, relevance tuning, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Advise on necessary Snowflake Horizon policies and related governance capabilities to ensure agents are secure, auditable, and compliant with client and industry standards.
  • Lead the most complex, ambiguous Snowflake AI engagements from discovery through production, acting as the escalation point and “safety net” for critical Snowflake Intelligence accounts.
  • Develop phData‑wide blueprints, reference architectures, playbooks, guardrail templates, and ROI frameworks for Snowflake Intelligence–based agent deployments.
  • Mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants, modeling how to own projects end‑to‑end and effectively engage executive stakeholders, while evangelizing LCNC agentic patterns across the practice.
  • Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering to scope complex AI Workforce opportunities, contribute to proposals, and help grow existing accounts by identifying “what’s next” for AI Workforce.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in professional services or consulting with a proven track record leading multi‑million‑dollar digital, analytics, or AI transformations for enterprise clients.
  • Deep expertise with Snowflake, including platform architecture, security, performance, and governance; comfortable with SQL/Python but biased toward native, low‑code features (Intelligence, Cortex, Native Apps) for maintainability and speed‑to‑market.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering AI/analytics solutions that span data engineering, BI/analytics, and business process change, beyond prototypes or proofs‑of‑concept.
  • Significant hands‑on experience with enterprise LCNC tools (e.g., Copilot Studio, Agentforce, n8n, Make, Zapier Central) and a passion for bringing those patterns into the Snowflake Data Cloud.
  • Proven ability to engage directly with senior and executive stakeholders and frame AI Workforce value in terms of OpEx reduction, risk reduction, and revenue growth.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional project teams (consultants, data engineers, architects), including coaching and mentoring others in delivery excellence and career development.
  • Strong communication skills across business and technical audiences, including the ability to clearly distinguish a simple “chatbot” from an autonomous Snowflake agent for non‑technical leaders.
  • A bias for action, collaborative mindset, and ability to thrive in early‑adopter environments where patterns are still emerging and you help define the standards.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience scaling Snowflake or similar data platforms at an enterprise level (e.g., platform adoption, governance programs, or Centers of Excellence).
  • Previous experience leading teams of consultants to ensure performance, utilization, project delivery success, and career growth.
  • Data preparation and orchestration experience using tools such as Alteryx, KNIME, Matillion, Dataiku, or Coalesce.
  • Experience operating in early‑stage, ambiguous environments where clients are experimenting with Snowflake Intelligence, Cortex, and agentic workflows across multiple functions.
  • Experience designing or supporting change management and enablement programs (playbooks, training, office hours) to help business users adopt AI agents and AI workflows at scale.

Why phData? We offer:

  • Remote-First Work Environment
  • Casual, award-winning small-business work environment
  • Collaborative culture that prizes autonomy, creativity, and transparency
  • Competitive comp, excellent benefits, generous PTO plan plus 10 Holidays (and other cool perks)
