PayMongo builds the most advanced online payments infrastructure in SE Asia, starting in the Philippines. Over the next few years, we will build a broad suite of products that aims to lower the barriers and remove all the complexities in payments. We are rapidly expanding to serve diverse needs of thousands of business. To continue on this exponential period of growth, we seek to build the best and the most diverse team of thinkers, doers and starters.

As an Insights & Analytics Intern, you’ll join the team that turns raw data into strategic decisions across the company. Over a 3–6 month internship, you’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operators to learn how great startups build and scale data-informed cultures. Expect a fast feedback loop, high-impact projects, and real mentorship from our analysts and data leads.

You will

Work closely with product managers to define product health metrics

Document metrics, definitions, owners, and data sources

Build intuitive dashboards (AWS Quicksight) with concise, actionable insights

Plan and build a searchable internal catalog of key datasets

Define schema, refresh cadence, and plain-language documentation

Help improve data discoverability and consistency across teams

Triage and fulfill short-term analysis requests from Growth, Finance, and Operations

Prototype reports in SQL or Python

Share findings through Slack updates, Loom videos, or mini-presentations

You may be a fit if:

You are comfortable with basic SQL (e.g., SELECT, JOIN, WHERE clauses)

You have strong written communication — can explain ideas clearly and concisely

You are curious and analytical — asks good questions and tests assumptions

You are action-oriented — prefers working prototypes over perfect specs

You are collaborative — enjoys working with cross-functional teammates

You will stand out if:

You have familiarity with Python or Jupyter Notebooks

You have experience using BI tools like AWS Redshift and/or AWS Quicksight

You have exposure to statistics, econometrics, or machine learning

Portfolio of projects, hackathon entries, or independent analysis work
