WHOOP is seeking a Hardware Engineering Project Manager II to drive the development of some of our next generation products. In this role, you will lead cross-functional projects from concept through launch. You will play a vital role in driving innovation in collaboration with Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, Firmware, and Supply Chain teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead hardware engineering projects from concept through launchCreate and manage detailed project plans aligned with WHOOP goals, balancing timelines, resources, and risksWork directly with engineering managers to set team priorities, mitigate schedule risks and identify opportunities to improve timelinesCoordinate engineering builds and design-of-experiment (DOE) activities with internal and external manufacturing partnersFacilitate effective cross-functional collaboration and communication, ensuring timely decision-making and alignmentProactively identify and manage project risks and dependencies, driving resolution of technical and organizational blockersEscalate issues as necessary to executive stakeholders with options for resolution and mitigationContribute to the ongoing refinement of WHOOP’s New Product Development Process to enhance execution of technical innovation and schedule predictability
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience in hardware product development3+ years of industry experience in the area of consumer electronic product developmentDemonstrated success managing cross-functional hardware projects from development through launchStrong understanding of hardware development cycles, standard lead times, and sourcing processesExperience communicating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and external partners both domestically and internationallyInnovative, knowledgeable, and able to adapt to fast-paced changing requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of effective stakeholder management
