Job description
The world’s largest organizations rely on Evident to help them protect their business and brand from third-party risk. Our game-changing technology - which enables the secure exchange of risk data like proof of insurance, identity, business registration, and other information - helps our customers verify that their partners have all of the required credentials to do business.

In today’s new remote-first, ever-changing regulatory environment, our secure, privacy-first enterprise platform, accessible via web portal or API, provides a highly scalable and configurable solution to manage communications, storage, decisioning, and ongoing monitoring of credentials.

Evident is a VC-backed technology startup, headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Learn more at evidentid.com.

Why this role

Evident runs the largest verified business network in third-party risk management — millions of entities, hundreds of enterprise customers, and a product that's already the category standard. The next chapter is making it dramatically smarter: extending the platform with AI so it does more of the work, surfaces sharper insight, and widens our lead in a fast-moving market.
We're hiring a Director of PM to lead that — someone who reads the market, spots where the opportunity is heading, and builds toward it. This is a hands-on builder's seat, not a caretaker's. You'll own strategy and outcomes, and you'll be close enough to the work to shape the product yourself, not just direct it.
The role will be based in our office in Atlanta (hybrid work model with two days in the office and three days remote).
What you'll own
  • Set the strategy. Own the roadmap and where the product goes next. Track the competitive landscape, read market signals, and turn emerging opportunities into a clear, prioritized plan — then build toward it.
  • Extend the product with AI. Take a platform that already works and make it markedly smarter — layering in AI so the system does more of the analyst's work and humans focus on the exceptions. This is a natural evolution of the product, done with the rigor (evals, guardrails, provenance) that compliance-grade decisions demand.
  • Transform risk management. Automate the full risk lifecycle — collection, verification, monitoring — so thousands of data points get checked without manual chasing. Move the product from tracking risk to reducing it: quantify exposure, prioritize the riskiest relationships, and give customers a defensible, audit-ready view.
  • Obsess over the experience. Set a high bar for craft. Kill cognitive load, design for the moment of decision, and treat speed and polish as features. Use real user behavior to find friction and design it out.
  • Drive the business. Own outcomes, not output — carry the metrics for adoption, retention, and revenue impact. Partner with Sales, CS, and Marketing on positioning, packaging, and go-to-market, and use competitive and market insight to shape company-level strategy.
  • Lead by building. Grow and mentor a small team of PMs while staying hands-on yourself — in the details, in the product, in customer conversations. Raise the bar on discovery and decision-making, and make product a place strong people want to work.
  • What you bring
  • 7+ years in product, 2+ leading PMs, with a track record shipping enterprise SaaS that moved real numbers.
  • A builder's instinct — you like being in the details and shipping, not just steering from above.
  • A sharp read on competitive and market dynamics, and a point of view on where your market is heading.
  • Practical fluency applying AI to enterprise workflows, with hands-on use of modern AI tooling.
  • Strong product instincts backed by data; comfort talking directly to customers and translating what you hear.
  • Clear, direct communication — the team is distributed and writing is how we think together.
  • Bonus points
  • Domain depth in risk, compliance, insurance, IDV, or credentialing.
  • Experience with two-sided networks, regulated data (FCRA, PII), or AI/ML products in production.
  • What you'll get
  • Real ownership over what gets built and why — no roadmap-by-committee.
  • A builder's mandate: the room and the expectation to stay hands-on and ship.
  • A problem with weight: verification sits at the center of trust online.
