Job Summary 

We are seeking a DevTest Software Engineer to drive automated quality engineering across cloud-native backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and SaaS platforms. 

This role requires strong software engineering capabilities combined with deep expertise in automation, distributed-system testing, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD integration. The ideal candidate can independently create scalable automation solutions while leveraging AI-assisted engineering practices to rapidly expand test coverage and improve development velocity. 

 

What You Will Do 

  • Design and develop automation frameworks for backend services, APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed architectures. 
  • Build automated functional, integration, regression, contract, end-to-end, and performance test suites. 
  • Develop reusable testing libraries, utilities, and automation infrastructure. 
  • Validate cloud-native services deployed across AWS environments. 
  • Test microservices, messaging systems, APIs, databases, and cloud integrations. 
  • Design automation for resiliency, failover, scalability, and fault-tolerance scenarios. 
  • Verify system behavior under production-scale workloads. 
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Improve release confidence through shift-left quality practices. 
  • Build automation capable of executing efficiently in continuous delivery environments. 
  • Develop automation reporting, quality metrics, and release gating strategies. 
  • Participate in troubleshooting complex production issues. 
  • Analyze logs, traces, metrics, and application telemetry. 
  • Reproduce customer issues and translate findings into automated regression tests. 
  • Collaborate with software engineers to improve observability, reliability, and testability. 
  • Leverage AI coding assistants and coding agents to accelerate test creation and maintenance. 
  • Use AI tools for code analysis, automation generation, debugging, and test optimization. 
  • Establish best practices for validating AI-generated automation. 

 

What You Bring 

  • 5+ years of software engineering, SDET, DevTest, or QA Automation experience. 
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, C#, or equivalent languages. 
  • Experience developing automation for SaaS applications, APIs, backend services, or distributed systems. 
  • Strong understanding of - REST APIs, Messaging systems, Databases, Microservices, Event-driven architectures 
  • Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks such as Playwright, REST Assured, Postman, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent. 
  • Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution environments. 
  • Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms. 
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. 
  • Familiarity with observability tools, including logs, traces, and metrics platforms. 
  • Experience testing highly available, multi-tenant cloud platforms.
