Job description

Fireblocks’ platform and network provide the simplest and most secure way for companies to work with digital assets and it trusted by some of the largest financial institutions, banks, globally-recognized brands, and Web3 companies in the world, including BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, ANZ Bank, Revolut, and thousands more. 

 

About The Team

At Fireblocks, the DevOps group is responsible for the core infrastructure and enablement for developers. 

The group consists of 15 engineers, working together to provide standards, abilities and support to RND.

The group manages the various Kubernetes clusters, Helm charts and deployment pipelines to name a few.

We’re looking for a DevOps Team Leader to join the group, lead the team’s projects and manage several engineers (technically and professionally) to bring upon new capabilities, improvements and to ensure we’re on the frontline of the industry's standards.

 

In this role, you will

  • Manage a team of DevOps engineers.
  • Manage the team’s projects and tasks.
  • Take a major role in the design, building, and operational management of a highly secure and scalable platform.
  • Promote, document, and implement systems infrastructure best practices.
  • Play a mentorship role to team members, constantly promoting improvement in their professional skills.
  • Provide self-service capabilities in order to empower the business’s software engineering teams.
  • Define tasks aimed at reducing/eliminating any repetitive or manual tasks and assist with prioritization.
  • Work with other infra teams on improving health and performance issues of the system.
  • Play a strategic role in designing and building infrastructure for ensuring the highest levels of security and responding swiftly to any new and emerging vulnerabilities and security threats.
  • Actively hands-on on projects and tasks.

 

What will you bring to the role?

  • At least 4 years experience leading a DevOps team.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a DevOps capacity, working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving SaaS environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience with cloud providers - AWS/Azure.
  • At least 10 years of experience in high-tech companies in DevOps roles or similar positions (such as software engineer, system administrator, automation engineer etc)
  • Proficiency in Linux, Command Line, Git, and CI.
  • Experience in the automation, configuration, and application performance management tools such as Ansible/Chef/Puppet, and Datadog/Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Experience with GitOps methodology and supporting tools.
  • Experience with GitLab Pipelines.
  • AI based mindset - creation of agents and skills to reduce constant workload.
  • Strong system-level troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and resolve high-level scalability, performance issues and complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills in a highly collaborative environment.

 

Advantages:

  • BSC in Computer Science or related technical certificate.

  • FinOps experience.
