About the Role
The Data Analyst, Finance role will play a critical role on the Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team. Primary responsibility is driving JumpCloud’s core reporting and analytics support for the Business Finance team at JumpCloud. In this role, you will also help design and scale modern self-service analytics capabilities and leverage AI-assisted tools to optimize data workflows, accelerate insights, and empower business partners to make data-driven decisions independently.

What you'll be doing:
Collaborating and driving impactful projects involving data visualization, data analysis, AI automation, and data curation in partnership with the Business Finance team.
Working in direct, constant partnership with the Business Finance team, sharing in their mission and consulting on the evolution of their data and analysis strategy.
Owning the outcomes of assigned analytics initiatives, taking personal accountability for end-to-end project delivery from scoping to execution.
Gathering business requirements and delivering actionable recommendations that are presented routinely at the executive level to drive adoption and decision-making.
Developing and leveraging AI-assisted tools and automated workflows to accelerate data exploration, streamline ad-hoc reporting, and improve forecasting precision.
Mentoring and growing peer analysts across the organization to help team members achieve their technical and professional potential.
Evangelizing analytics best practices and data governance principles by cultivating stakeholder relationships and developing clear end-user resources.
Supporting the team's ongoing project management, strategic decision-making, and long-term planning efforts.
Staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies (including AI and ML), and data analytics best practices, actively applying them to meet business needs.
You have:
Demonstrated experience delivering an scalable AI or analytics solution that influenced a business decision, improved a process, or enabled stakeholder self-service beyond manual analysis and/or dashboards.
Intermediate SQL, relational database skills (Snowflake preferred), strong proficiency with Python, proficiency in BI tools (Tableau), and enterprise data platforms (Salesforce, Excel). Exposure developing and leveraging AI-assisted analytical tools.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and data storytelling skills, with experience presenting insights at an executive level.
Intermediate analytical skills and a passion for data storytelling and quantitative analysis.
Proficiency in one or more business Intelligence / data visualization tools; Tableau experience highly preferred.
Experience in the SaaS industry, with functional expertise in business finance metrics (forecasting, GRR, NRR, expansion, commissions, etc.) nice-to-have
Mentoring skills.
Strong attention to detail and desire to learn.
Effective stakeholder management skills and communication skills.
Experience with Data Governance best practices.
Effective project management and organizational skills; Agile experience is a plus.
Experience supporting and working with an FP&A and/or Business Finance team in a fast-paced, unstructured, dynamic environment; Start-up experience a plus.

Exposure to fintech, SaaS, consumer technology or digital-product environments.
Experience working directly with stakeholders like finance managers, business leaders, or operations teams.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Finance or other finance or quantitative fields.

Shift Schedule:
Due to the collaborative nature of this role with our global teams, this role will essentially follow "North American Working Hours" so there is direct overlap with our North American teams.
Specifically, candidates of this role will be required to work 6:00 pm - 3:00 am IST which will include a break.
