Clinical & Project Coordinator

Job description
### **๐Ÿš€ About Starling** Imagine giving patients the power of real-time health insight, simply by using the bathroom. **Starling Medical is building the first clinically-backed, at-home urinalysis platform** designed to support patients with chronic health conditions. We are backed by prestigious organizations like **Y Combinator (YC) and AARP**, and our mission is clear: **prevent hospitalizations** by providing immediate, actionable insights into a patient's urinary health. Our first product in development is focused on non-invasively monitoring the risk of **Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)**, a major health concern. If you're excited about leveraging technology to build a product that impacts daily health and keeps people out of the hospital, you belong with us. --- ### **๐Ÿ“‹ The Role: Clinical & Project Coordinator** You will be the key operational and patient-facing team member, ensuring both our commercial and clinical programs run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include: * **Logistics & Order Fulfillment:** Manage the process of **device deployment**, ensuring devices are sent to the correct providers, partners, and study participants. This includes managing inventory, coordinating with the Manufacturing team, and fulfilling product orders. * **Non-Technical Customer Support:** Serve as the primary contact for **non-technical user questions** regarding product onboarding, delivery, and general usage. You'll build and maintain trust with customers through a positive and seamless user experience. * **Clinical Study Management:** Actively support our clinical studies and trials by assisting with tasks such as **patient enrollment, informed consent processes, and scheduling follow-up calls** with participants. * **Patient Communication:** Conduct outbound calls to patients and clinical participants to provide support, gather feedback, and ensure adherence to study protocols or product use guidelines. Act as the voice of the customer internally, capturing critical feedback to directly influence product roadmaps and competitive strategy. * **Cross-Functional Communication:** Collaborate closely with the Technical Support Engineer to quickly route and track technical issues, ensuring efficient resolution for the user. Develop internal documentation, best-practice guides, and training to help scale our program methodologies across the entire organization. --- ### **๐Ÿ’ก Qualifications** * **Location:** Based in **Houston (preferred)** or **Austin**, Texas. * **Experience:** * **2โ€“5 years of professional experience** in a customer-facing, coordination, or clinical support role. * Proven experience in a customer-facing role with excellent communication skills (phone, written, and in-person). * Strong interest in **medical technology, health applications, or clinical research**. * Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and logistics simultaneously. * Excellent communicator (both written and oral) * Experience with **clinical study coordination, patient enrollment, or obtaining informed consent** is a strong preference. * Experience with basic inventory management or order fulfillment is a plus. * Experience or interest in **marketing** is also considered a plus. --- ### **๐ŸŽฏ The Impact** This role is critical for Starling's ability to successfully scale its commercial products and gather the necessary evidence for clinical validation. * **Enable Clinical Validation:** By efficiently **enrolling and supporting patients** in our clinical studies, you directly contribute to the quality of data Starling needs for upcoming publications and regulatory submissions. * **Scale Operations:** Your organizational skills will directly impact our ability to **scale patient cohorts** through seamless device deployment to our partnering providers and hospitals. * **Define the Patient Experience:** You will be the **voice of Starling** to many of our users and patients, playing a direct role in fostering trust and ensuring they have a positive, reliable experience with our groundbreaking product.
