Business Intelligence Engineer - StarRez

About the Role

As a Business Intelligence Engineer at our cutting-edge SaaS company, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. In this role, you will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, develop interactive dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance our product offerings and customer experience. Your work will empower stakeholders with clear, accurate, and timely analytics, helping to shape the future of our fast-paced, innovative organization. 

You will own the end-to-end process of extracting, transforming, and visualizing data, ensuring seamless integration with our cloud-based infrastructure. As a key contributor, you’ll partner with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and build robust reporting systems that fuel our growth in the competitive SaaS landscape. 

What Will You Own

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to process large datasets efficiently. 

• Build and optimize interactive dashboards and reports using Domo. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key metrics and deliver actionable insights. 

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all analytics platforms and data warehousing solutions. 

• Automate reporting processes to support real-time decision-making for stakeholders. 

• Optimize data models and queries for performance and scalability in cloud environments. 

• Communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field. 

• 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or a similar role. 

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets. 

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis and scripting. 

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). 

• Proficiency with BI tools like Domo, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for visualization. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field or relevant advanced certifications. 

• Experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark or Hadoop. 

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts or predictive modeling. 

• Knowledge of API integrations for real-time data processing. 

• Experience with SaaS-specific metrics like customer retention or churn analysis. 

• Proficiency with version control systems like Git. 

• Strong storytelling skills to present data insights in a compelling way.
