The Opportunity

We are seeking a AWS Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security solutions for our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for securing cloud-based environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and mitigating security risks. This role requires deep expertise in cloud security best practices, automation, and modern security tools.
How you will make a difference
Support various cybersecurity projects by developing requirements and implementing technical security tools and initiatives
Define and maintain the company's cybersecurity policies and control frameworks to ensure consistent compliance
Collaborate with IT and business units to identify, select, and deploy technical controls aligned with security requirements
Build and document repeatable processes and standards to uphold ongoing security requirements
Administer and monitor security sensors, logs, alerts, and other detection mechanisms to proactively identify and respond to threats
Act as a subject matter expert for cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, CNAPP, and CSPM platforms
Manage and maintain network security configurations, including firewalls, AWS security groups, and Network ACLs
Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies based on organizational needs and posture
Communicate cybersecurity activities, priorities, and risks to stakeholders across various levels of the organization
Provide security guidance and oversight throughout the SDLC and application development lifecycle
Participate in cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with security best practices

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity
AWS Solutions Architect or Security Specialty certification
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification
CNAPP/CSPM experience (Wiz, Sysdig
AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification
Competencies
