Job description
About Us:

Endpoint is an interactive response technology (IRT®) systems and solutions provider that supports the life sciences industry. Since 2009, we have been working with a single vision in mind, to help sponsors and pharmaceutical companies achieve clinical trial success. Our solutions, realized through the proprietary PULSE® platform, have proven to maximize the supply chain, minimize operational costs, and ensure timely and accurate patient dosing. Endpoint is headquartered in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a curious, driven AI & Prompt Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our efforts in integrating artificial intelligence into business operations, knowledge management, and internal productivity tools.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini), basic understanding of machine learning concepts, and a passion for crafting prompts that turn complex ideas into usable, clear responses. You’ll work closely with our innovation team to explore how AI can enhance both technical and operational functions at Endpoint.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify structured data fields within clinical and technical documents.
  • Test and evaluate AI tools and prompts for extracting information.
  • Compare AI-generated outputs with source documents for accuracy.
  • Maintain organized records of findings and feedback.
  • Observe or review internal expert interviews.
  • Use transcription tools to generate summaries and actionable insights.
  • Develop internal “how-to” guides from curated content.
  • Organize and categorize content using tools like Notion or Google Docs.
  • Participate in shadowing sessions to understand daily business processes.
  • Create clear, step-by-step workflow documentation.
  • Utilize standard templates to develop visual process maps.
  • Highlight repetitive or manual tasks suitable for automation.
  • Education:
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Experience:
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
  • Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic tools such as Google Docs, Excel, and Zoom
  • Interest in AI, healthcare, or technology-related fields (prior experience helpful but not required)
  • Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and apply learnings
