Your Role

We’re hiring an Accounts Payable Coder to join our finance team, focused on managing expenditure classification and keeping company financial reporting accurate. In this role, you’ll process high-volume invoices, verify 3-way matching and keep our budgets lined up so our team can make smart operational decisions.

As an AP Coder, you’ll:

• Own GL coding. You'll review high-volume invoices and accurately assign spend categories, department codes and project codes based on company charts of accounts.
• Validate data and maintain compliance. You'll run 3-way matching across purchase orders, receiving reports and invoices, making sure we only pay for what we ordered while confirming all proper internal approvals are in place.
• Support vendor relationships and month-end close. You'll assist with vendor onboarding, banking verification, statement reconciliations and month-end close to keep coded invoices posted before deadline.

Location

Time spent collaborating with other Hudlies in-office will be a regular part of how you work. We’re currently prioritizing applicants within commuting distance of Lincoln, Nebraska. You’ll be expected to work more days in-office than remote, but will have the freedom to coordinate your specific in-office schedule with your team.

Must-Haves

• Experienced. You have one to three years of experience in accounts payable or a general accounting role.
• Detail-oriented. You have an eye for precision, whether spotting a single-digit typo in a 20-digit GL string or flagging a duplicate invoice.
• Analytical. You understand core financial concepts, including the difference between CapEx and OpEx.
• A strong communicator. You can partner directly with FP&A leads and department heads to resolve missing approvals or clear up ambiguous expenses.

Nice-to-Haves

• Tech stack experience. You have hands-on experience using major ERP systems like Workday, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics, alongside intermediate Excel skills.
• Educational background. You hold an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
