Logistics software is extremely fragmented, where a logistics actor might interact with several TMS portals and mobile apps in day to accommodate their counter-party's needs. The outcome is high-friction ad-hoc communications spread across systems and capitulation to ''lowest common denominator'' channels (email, SMS, phone) which forfeits opportunity for automation and business intelligence on critical interactions and data exchange. We are developing an agnostic communication layer between logistics collaboration parties enriched with industry-specific workflows that both parties can participate in, and generate reports from. To prove the concept, our first product is a chrome extension where freight brokers can request trucking rates & capacity from their trucking carrier partners via a structured communications channel. A broker can deliver structured data to a group of carriers via omnichannel (email, SMS, robo-call) methods and collect feedback in a unified place. System captures critical business information such as trucking pricing and carrier preferences which can yield reporting & insights benefits.
