Springboard Collaborative transforms the summer from a barrier into a springboard for financially disadvantaged students and families. Our model takes a three-p ... ronged approach: 1. Springboard Scholars: a 6-week student instruction program that blends data-driven teaching with project-based learning for K-3rd graders. Springboard trains schools’ own teachers to set growth goals, tailor instruction, and measure progress. 2. Springboard Partners: weekly, teacher-led workshops that equip parents with effective strategies for reading with their kids, creating a continuum of teaching and learning at home and school. 3. Learning Bonuses: incentives in the form of educational resources, awarded in proportion to student gains. If students reach their growth goals they receive books and supplies for the next year. If they exceed them, they receive larger incentives, including laptops. See More
