PickMeUp is an on-demand ride-sharing minibus app, where customers use a smartphone app to hail the service. The company then uses AI technology to dynamically route the buses and match similar journeys together to create ''ride sharing.'' The Oxford Bus Company, which has been operating in the city since 1881, says its new service has proved very popular - it carried its 40,000th passenger within five months of launch and has seen more than 15,000 people download the app and register an account so far.
