Over half of local retail stores don’t have their product inventory on their website and almost none of them offer local delivery. Coronavirus accelerated a trend of people less and less willing to go into physical stores. When we realized we could provide the breadth of products that Amazon has with the speed of delivery, at a comparable cost to retailers and consumers, we knew we could help transform the pay people shop. In Stock is led by Ian McHenry, who previously founded Beyond Pricing, a data and dynamic pricing SaaS solution for vacation rentals which grew to double-digit millions in ARR and raised over $45m from top-tier investors including Bessemer Ventures. Ian has been passionate about large datasets and optimization problems since his days at Princeton University, and the underlying dataset behind where every product is at any given moment that powers In Stock is what gets him really excited every day.
