Job description

At Broadridge, we've built a culture where the highest goal is to empower others to accomplish more. If you’re passionate about developing your career, while helping others along the way, come join the Broadridge team.

Broadridge is undertaking the continued modernization of its Capital Markets and Wealth Engineering portfolio to deliver resilient, scalable, secure, and AI-enabled solutions for capital markets ecosystems. The Engineering Portfolio Leader will serve as a senior technology executive accountable for defining and executing the portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment across engineering priorities, business objectives, regulatory expectations, client commitments, and enterprise modernization goals.

This role requires a commercially astute and technically accomplished executive with the leadership presence, transformation experience, and execution discipline necessary to direct engineering teams across the portfolio’s applications and platforms. The leader will strengthen engineering practices, develop leadership capacity, improve delivery predictability, and communicate the target-state technology strategy in a manner that establishes confidence among global clients, business leaders, product partners, and executive stakeholders.

As part of the Capital Markets and Wealth Engineering organization, this leader will partner closely with product, operations, architecture, commercial, and enterprise technology teams to define the target-state architecture and modernization roadmap. The role will balance innovation with disciplined execution to deliver business value, improved client outcomes, enhanced platform resiliency, and sustained technology differentiation.

Experience across Capital Markets and Wealth is preferred, including trade lifecycle, clearing, settlement, custody, asset servicing, books and records, reconciliations, collateral, margin, regulatory reporting, client onboarding, advisor servicing, portfolio management, reporting, billing, compliance, data integration, and AI-enabled engagement.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Establish a clear strategic direction that aligns engineering teams to portfolio priorities, business objectives, client outcomes, regulatory expectations, and enterprise roadmaps.

  • Lead enterprise-scale transformation by translating strategic priorities into structured execution plans, disciplined governance, and measurable outcomes.

  • Develop, coach, and retain high-performing engineering teams and leadership depth that reinforce accountability, collaboration, quality, delivery excellence, and client focus.

Application Development & Delivery

  • Provide executive oversight for the design, development, testing, and deployment of portfolio applications and platform capabilities across trade lifecycle, settlement and custody, asset servicing, reconciliation, client onboarding, reporting, and related workflow domains.

  • Ensure delivery organizations consistently adhere to engineering best practices, coding standards, security requirements, quality expectations, and global market readiness requirements.

  • Drive predictable delivery through clearly defined commitments, consistent execution, quality outcomes, regulatory awareness, and financial discipline.

Governance & Quality

  • Advance SDLC, Agile, DevOps, governance, and operational readiness practices across portfolio teams.

  • Define and institutionalize metrics that make quality, platform performance, resiliency, delivery predictability, client satisfaction, leadership accountability, and production readiness visible and actionable.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory obligations, enterprise security frameworks, data protection standards, and operational risk expectations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a senior client-facing technology leader, articulating the target-state strategy, modernization roadmap, migration path, platform readiness, and business value with clarity, credibility, and executive presence.

  • Engage global clients, business units, product partners, commercial teams, and operations stakeholders to establish alignment, support adoption, and connect platform capabilities to measurable client outcomes.

  • Translate complex engineering concepts into outcome-oriented executive narratives that support decision-making, strengthen global client confidence, and reinforce enterprise alignment.

  • Provide structured and transparent communication regarding progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, opportunities, and strategic partner relationships across the portfolio ecosystem.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead modernization across portfolio platforms, including cloud, microservices, automation, data modernization, integration capabilities, and broader digital transformation initiatives.

  • Promote innovation, continuous learning, disciplined experimentation, and measurable improvement across portfolio teams, practices, and operating models.

  • Prioritize responsible AI, automation, tooling, and platform reuse opportunities that improve engineering productivity, resiliency, efficiency, regulatory readiness, and global client outcomes.

  • Convert market trends, global client needs, regulatory expectations, and emerging technologies into practical modernization opportunities that strengthen platform differentiation.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide architectural leadership across portfolio platforms spanning cloud-native, service-based, event-driven, API, data, and integration capabilities.

  • Establish reusable assets, prototypes, POCs, MVPs, shared services, and AI-ready capabilities that accelerate delivery, reduce duplication, and increase enterprise leverage.

  • Enhance post-trade platform capabilities across trade lifecycle management, settlement exception handling, cash and securities movements, position and balance management, account servicing, client reporting, and operational controls.

  • Embed non-functional requirements into solution design to ensure resiliency, scalability, performance, security, observability, operational readiness, and regulatory confidence.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, preferably within fintech, capital markets, post trade, or regulated financial services environments.

  • 10+ years of experience managing engineering teams, leadership pipelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and enterprise delivery commitments.

  • Demonstrated record of leading large-scale platforms, modernization programs, and AI-enabled engineering practices that deliver measurable business impact.

  • Experience with global capital markets, post trade processing, clearing, settlement, custody, securities processing, or client-facing financial technology platforms.

  • Knowledge of post-trade capabilities across the trade lifecycle, settlement, custody, asset servicing, reconciliations, books and records, regulatory reporting, and client integration.

Skills & Competencies

  • Enterprise leadership capability, including people management, organizational development, leadership pipeline development, and talent-building disciplines.

  • Strategic judgment with the ability to lead through complexity, mobilize teams, and convert portfolio transformation into measurable outcomes.

  • Executive communication capability with the ability to align technology, product, commercial, operations, global clients, and senior stakeholders around a compelling platform vision.

  • Deep understanding of modern platform architecture, full-stack development, APIs, integration, DevOps, data, responsible AI, and post-trade platform capabilities.

  • Commercial and client orientation, with the ability to connect portfolio technology investment, modernization, and AI-enabled innovation to measurable business value and client confidence.

  • Strong governance mindset, driving accountability, transparency, risk management, responsible AI, regulatory awareness, and disciplined execution.

Success Measures

  • Improved delivery predictability, quality outcomes, and transparency across the portfolio.

  • Measurable progress against modernization, resiliency, automation, and responsible AI adoption objectives.

  • Increased client confidence through clearer roadmap communication, platform readiness, and outcome-focused engagement.
