Job Description

We are seeking and experienced ER veterinary assistant. 

Overnight shifts available are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 7:30pm-7:30am.

Skills Required:

  • Phlebotomy and other laboratory collection methods
  • Processing in-house as well as out lab samples; IDEXX, Urinalysis, Cytology
  • Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and ability to set up for incoming cases
  • Medical record-keeping and invoicing
  • Cash handling, POS, obtaining deposits for financial estimates
  • Intake and Discharge of patients
  • Recognizing changes in status and conditions of hospitalized patients
  • Ability to communicate well with a team and report to a senior staff member or DVM on shift
  • Following directions both verbally communicated and written.
  • Basic understanding of treatment/flow sheets
  • All aspects of veterinary nursing care not mentioned above
  • Other tasks to be assigned by DVM on shift or management as indicate

Job Types: Full-time, Part -time

Shifts: Overnight shift, 12 hour shifts available.
