About the Position

The ideal candidate would have a great familiarity with financial instruments, accounting principles and experience with the Advent Geneva system. The candidate must have excellent RSL development skills, strong verbal/written communication skills, and be a cultural fit with an emphasis on teamwork, excellence, and results.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing Geneva RSL custom reports.
  • Geneva system and application administration 
  • Working closely with Geneva users and addressing accounting data issues reported by them. 
  • Collaborate with other full-stack developers build APIs around Geneva for data load and extraction.
  • Help implementing Geneva upgrades and patch releases.
  • Integrating Geneva and data warehouses with Security Master, Order Management Systems (OMS), and risk platforms and other external platforms.
  • Working with data center vendors for system administration and hardware upgrades Requirements analysis, application design and implementation.
  • Working with Advent to troubleshoot and request enhancements. 

 Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Geneva RSL Developer or subject matter expert role, with a focus on developing custom loaders/reports for loading/extracting data to/from Geneva.
  • Experience working with Linux environments.
  • Experience working with any general programming languages (python, c#, java, etc.).
  • Knowledge of databases and experience working with relational databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Financial Industry experience engaged in Private Equity/Credit type of business domain.
  • Experience in version control systems, such as Git, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Beneficial Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Private Credit/Equity Funds.
  • Experience in one or more of bank loans/leveraged loans, fixed-income products, CLOs, derivatives, ABS (Asset Backed Securities) and CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) products.
  • Understanding of Data Engineering tools and platforms (data pipelines, data lake)
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
