Job description

About Verily Health Inc.

At the intersection of technology, data science, and healthcare, Verily Health transforms complex health data into trusted intelligence, enabling health solutions that are more personal, predictive, and precise.

Verily’s flagship Governed Health Intelligence platform, Verily Pre, enables healthcare organizations to responsibly govern, model, and securely activate their protected health data at scale, deploying intelligence with the scientific rigor, oversight, and auditability needed for healthcare.

The Talent Acquisition Manager, Tech & Product will lead recruiting for the engineering, data science, machine learning, and product teams that build Verily’s platform. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will manage a team of recruiters and sourcers while remaining hands-on with high-priority and senior searches. You will partner closely with engineering and product leaders and HR Business Partners to turn workforce plans into well-run, data-informed hiring pipelines.

Responsibilities

    • Lead and develop a team of recruiters and sourcers supporting engineering, data science, ML, and product hiring, setting standards for candidate experience, quality of hire, and recruiting excellence.
    • Partner with engineering and product leaders and HRBPs to understand hiring priorities, define role requirements, and build sourcing and closing strategies for each search.
    • Own full-cycle recruiting for senior technical and product roles, including director-level and above, and partner with leaders on candidate selection and closing.
    • Use data to manage the funnel: track pipeline health, time-to-fill, conversion rates, and diversity metrics, identify process gaps, and report insights and risks to TA and business leadership.
    • Work with the Head of TA, Finance, and HRBPs on recruiter capacity models, pipeline forecasting, and headcount planning.
    • Provide external market intelligence on competitors, compensation trends, and talent supply to inform org design and hiring decisions.
    • Partner with Compensation to run consistent, rigorous offer processes with room for flexibility in competitive situations.
    • Partner with Marketing and the TA team on employer brand initiatives that position Verily as a destination for top technical and product talent in health tech.
    • Help evaluate and adopt TA tools, including AI-enabled sourcing, screening, and workflow automation, and drive adoption within the team.
    • Build scalable interview practices, hiring manager enablement, and operating rhythms that improve as the company grows.

Qualifications

    • 7+ years of talent acquisition experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or people management role.
    • Experience recruiting for technical roles (software engineering, data science, or machine learning) and product roles at a technology or health tech company.
    • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior engineering and product leaders to define hiring strategy and close senior candidates.
    • Strong data fluency, with experience using recruiting metrics to diagnose process issues and drive improvements.
    • Experience with recruiter capacity planning, pipeline forecasting, or headcount planning in partnership with Finance or business leaders.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a high-growth startup or scaling environment.
    • Background recruiting in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated data environments.
    • Experience building or improving a TA tech stack with an AI-forward mindset.
    • Experience with global or multi-location hiring.
    • Working knowledge of compensation benchmarking and offer strategy.
