Position Summary

The System Test Engineer is responsible for validating the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through automated and system-level testing. The role designs and executes test automation using C#, Selenium, and AI-assisted testing tools, identifies and resolves defects through debugging and root cause analysis, and collaborates with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused software solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand end-to-end product, system, and application functionality, including architecture, workflows, integrations, and business requirements.

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to validate software quality, reliability, and performance.

  • Create and enhance automated testing solutions using C#, Selenium WebDriver, Visual Studio, and in-house automation frameworks.

  • Utilize AI-assisted testing tools to support test case generation, defect prediction, intelligent analysis, and testing efficiency improvements.

  • Apply basic machine learning insights to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues in application logs, system behaviors, and test results.

  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing activities to ensure high-quality product releases.

  • Detect, document, track, and report software defects while collaborating closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.

  • Review, optimize, and maintain test scripts, test plans, and testing procedures to improve automation coverage and efficiency.

  • Work with test management, logging, debugging, monitoring, and automation tools to support software validation and continuous quality improvement.

  • Participate in new product development activities by contributing to testing strategy, design reviews, analysis, and product validation.

  • Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders in an agile environment to ensure customer requirements are accurately validated.

  • Maintain technical documentation and follow established engineering standards, processes, and best practices.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and development workflows.

  • Demonstrate customer-centric thinking, accountability, authenticity, collaboration, innovation, and agility in all engineering activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in test automation and software quality assurance.

  • Strong experience with C# programming and Selenium WebDriver for test automation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio for developing, debugging, and maintaining automation frameworks and scripts.

  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and software engineering principles.

  • Experience using version control systems such as Git and Azure Repos.

  • Knowledge of web applications, computer systems, databases, networking concepts, and software testing methodologies.

  • Familiarity with test management, debugging, logging, and defect tracking tools.

  • Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and experience working with AI-assisted testing tools.

  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional and agile teams.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to complete technical deliverables within established timelines while maintaining high quality standards.

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer-focused delivery, accountability, continuous learning, and innovation.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with API testing, web service testing, and test automation frameworks.

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated testing within DevOps environments.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and modern software delivery practices.

  • Experience with performance, load, or security testing methodologies.

  • Understanding of AI-driven software quality engineering and advanced test automation practices.

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

  • Experience in enterprise software, industrial technology, utilities, energy, or manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools beyond Selenium.

  • Passion for emerging technologies, innovation, and continuous process improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and contribute positively to team performance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
