This role can be carried out from our Burlingame, CA headquarters, hybrid, or fully remote/virtually. Remote candidates must be physically located within the United States.

Responsibilities
Join a team of innovative engineers building and scaling the core data infrastructure, pipelines, and services that power our products
Design and implement a robust data warehouse to support a wide range of analytics and operational use cases
Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and curated data sets by working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
And of course—write code every day!
Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a data engineer
Proficiency in writing high-quality Python code (Java is a plus) and a strong track record of delivering impactful data projects
Experience building robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines with solid logging, alerting, and data validation—not just simple scripts
Hands-on experience designing and implementing data warehouses using modern cloud databases like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks
Expertise in SQL-based data modeling with a focus on governance and enabling self serve using a development framework such as DBT
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau (a plus)
Experience working with sensitive data in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment
A thoughtful approach to balancing quality and deadlines in fast-paced settings
Excellent communication skills with a talent for building consensus and alignment
Strong organizational skills and the ability to distill complex problems into clear priorities that move the team and business forward
