Job Overview

Pulse is now recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join a community-based service located at Uxbridge Civic Centre. This is a fantastic short‑term locum opportunity for a skilled clinician looking to support local adult services and contribute to high‑quality care delivery within the borough.

The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment and intervention to service users within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist speech and language therapy interventions within a community setting
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and management plans for adults with communication and/or swallowing needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to support integrated care pathways
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Contribute to service development and patient‑centred care initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (required)
  • HCPC registration (required)
  • Experience working within community SLT services (preferred)
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider MDT
