We are hiring a Solutions Architect to join our growing Solutions team to help customers unlock the full potential of Rutter’s platform. This is a highly collaborative, customer-facing role that blends technical depth, product expertise, and strategic thinking. You’ll work directly with customers across the full lifecycle, from early solution design to implementation, onboarding, and post-launch success. As one of the early members of our Solutions team, you’ll play a key role in guiding our customers to deliver scalable integrations and power the next generation of fintech products.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead customer implementations
    Lead solution design and technical implementation for customer integrations across accounting, commerce, and banking platforms.

  • Voice of the customer
    Support the product team by influencing feature requests and product roadmap based on what customers are looking for.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers
    Guide customers on best practices for API usage, data mapping, and integration architecture to ensure scalable, reliable implementations.

  • Influence product and roadmap
    Collaborate with engineering and product to identify product gaps, propose enhancements, and shape new capabilities based on customer needs.

  • AI Orchestration
    Own the full customer journey, and further build out an agentified process to automate customer onboarding and to pursue expansion opportunities.

  • Customer Enablement
    Develop sample apps, implementation guides, internal documentation, and demo flows that accelerate customer success and internal efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Forward-Deployed Engineer or similar, ideally at a SaaS or API-driven company. Preferably, experience working with fintech companies in the past.

  • Strong technical proficiency with REST APIs, integration design, and developer workflows

  • Excellent communication skills. You are able to lead technical discussions with engineering teams and explain complex topics clearly to business stakeholders.

  • Builder mindset. You enjoy creating demos, writing documentation, and solving problems end to end.

  • Experience being in a highly collaborative and adaptable fast-paced startup environment

  • Bonus: Experience working with Accounting, Payments, or Commerce systems in the past

  • Must be based in NYC and able to work a hybrid role at our Flatiron, Manhattan office

  • This role will be primarily Post-Sales.

Compensation

On-target earnings of $150,000–$165,000, plus equity
