Job description

Who We Are

Verily Health is a data platform and technology company purpose-built to power AI-enabled precision health solutions that accelerate research and improve care for individuals and communities. Uniquely positioned at the intersection of technology, data science, and healthcare, Verily transforms multimodal health data into insights, models, and actions that make healthcare more personalized, predictive, and precise.

Description

At Verily, we're building products that help people understand and take control of their health. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to define the engagement and interaction model of our mobile and web app — spanning care, consumer, and research experiences — and reimagine it as an AI-first experience. This role sits at the intersection of systems thinking, emerging AI interaction patterns, and behavioral design: you'll determine where and how AI should be woven into the app to make it smarter, more personal, and more engaging, and you'll build the habit loops and notifications that keep people coming back and meeting program goals.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision for making the app "AI-first" — identifying where AI should replace, augment, or reorganize existing flows to create innovative, delightful, integrated experiences rather than being bolted on as a standalone feature.
  • Design and experiment with engagement loops, notification strategies, and gamification mechanics grounded in behavioral science, tailored to health contexts where motivation and trust both matter, with success measured by both user engagement and for health outcomes.
  • Lead products through the full lifecycle — from discovery and prototyping to launch and iteration — with a bias for action in an ambiguous, fast-moving space.
  • Continuously scan and synthesize the latest AI interaction patterns (conversational UI, agentic workflows, proactive/ambient assistance, generative UI, multimodal input) and translate them into concrete opportunities for the app.
  • Balance innovation with the realities of a regulated, clinical environment — working with UX, engineering, clinical, legal, regulatory, and privacy partners to ensure new AI and engagement patterns are safe, accurate, and appropriate for health contexts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience building consumer-facing products, ideally in health or health-adjacent fields.
  • Demonstrated fluency with current AI product patterns (LLM-based assistants, agentic experiences, generative UI, personalization/recommendation systems) and a track record of applying them to real products.
  • Experience designing and measuring engagement or retention mechanics (habit loops, gamification, personalization, nudges) in a consumer app.
  • Strong systems thinking — able to zoom out to architecture-level decisions and zoom in to interaction-level details.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action in a space where best practices are still emerging.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both mobile and web app
  • Direct experience designing or shipping AI-native features (chat/agent interfaces, AI-generated summaries or insights, adaptive/personalized experiences).
  • Background in behavioral science, game design, or habit-formation product design.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and privacy/security regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Experience presenting product vision and architecture decisions to executive stakeholders.
