About Axtria

Axtria is a global provider of cloud software and data analytics to the Life Sciences industry. We help Life Sciences companies transform the product commercialization journey to drive sales growth and improve healthcare outcomes for patients. We are acutely aware that our work impacts millions of patients and lead passionately to improve their lives.

Since our founding in 2010, technology innovation has been our winning differentiation, and we continue to leapfrog competition with platforms that deploy Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Our cloud-based platforms - Axtria DataMax™, Axtria InsightsMax™, Axtria SalesIQ™, and Axtria MarketingIQ™ - enable customers to efficiently manage data, leverage data science to deliver insights for sales and marketing planning and manage end-to-end commercial operations.

With customers in over 75 countries, Axtria is one of the largest global commercial solutions providers in the Life Sciences industry. We continue to win industry recognition for growth and are featured in some of the most aspirational lists - INC 5000, Deloitte FAST 500, NJBiz FAST 50, SmartCEO Future 50, Red Herring 100, and several other growth and technology awards.

What we need.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who combines exceptional craft with sound judgement and deep product thinking to shape Axtria's product experience. You'll lead end-to-end design across web and mobile, partnering with Product Managers, Engineers and designers to turn complex workflows into simple, intuitive SaaS tools for the commercial operations of life sciences organizations.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end design for product surfaces across web and mobile, from problem framing through high-fidelity delivery.
  • Turn ambiguous, fast-moving problem spaces into clear, testable design solutions, working closely with product and engineering.
  • Connect design decisions to business and customer outcomes. Be clear about what a design is meant to change and how we'll know it worked.
  • Design how users work with AI and agents: how they give direction, see what the agent did, correct it, and trust the result.
  • Think in systems. Spot patterns, build for reuse, and help shape the design system, not just use it, with a focus on consistency, scalability and craft.
  • Present your work with clear rationale, take in feedback from stakeholders, and hold a high-quality bar across the product lifecycle.
  • Use AI in your own design process to move faster and raise the quality of your output.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise platforms or enterprise software.
  • Past work on SaaS products & life sciences or pharma, or related industries areas.
  • Experience designing for AI agents, rich data visualizations or complex services.
  • An outstanding portfolio of thoughtfully designed products and strong visual design, showing the full design process, from strong conceptual foundations to refining the smallest details with clear rationale.
  • Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with a sharp eye for typography, spacing, color, layout and motion.
  • Strong judgement. You know what good looks like, can explain why, and will hold the line when it matters.
  • Technical fluency to work with engineers as a peer: how components are built, how design decisions behave in code, and what is feasible.
  • A systems thinker who spots patterns, builds for reuse, and considers how design decisions scale across a product.
  • An AI-native way of working. You use AI every day, you know where it helps and where it doesn't, and you design for how people will actually work with it.
  • Hands-on experience designing AI-powered features such as natural language interfaces, agents and predictive insights for real users solving real problems.
  • A self-starter who sees a gap, builds the fix and shows it working. You own outcomes and you're comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Clear communication and storytelling. You can explain design intent, navigate ambiguous product spaces, and influence cross-functional peers.
  • Clear, confident written and spoken English, with the ability to present to executive stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of taking projects from concept to launch in a commercial market.

Location, Perks & Benefits

Our people are our greatest asset. We offer a transparent, collaborative culture where your work is recognized, where you'll learn from — and help build — the next generation of industry leaders.

  • Preferred location: Greater NY/NJ or Greater Philadelphia metro area, working from Axtria's Berkeley Heights, NJ office or client sites three days a week.
  • Up to 25% travel to client sites and conferences.
  • Comprehensive medical plans, HSA, and FSA with company contributions.
  • Flexible PTO and company-paid holidays.
  • Retirement program with company match.
  • Total compensation commensurate with experience.
