Senior Customs Declaration Officer - Dongguan
Job location

Job description

Work Location: 凤岗镇雁田村

Purpose of Position

  • CASETiFY is one of the leading global lifestyle brands to offer customizable tech accessories. We're industry leaders when it comes to trend forecasting and protecting what matters most; the community platform for creativity and self-expression.
  • We are looking for a hands-on customs professional to take full ownership of export declaration processes for our outbound shipments. This is not a desk-bound role – you will be based in our Dongguan factory, where you will prepare and verify all shipping documents, coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and ensure that every consignment clears smoothly. You will act as the critical bridge between the factory floor and our Qianhai Office Finance Team, making sure that declaration data aligns with VAT rebate requirements and government subsidy criteria. Your work will directly impact our ability to claim refunds on time, maintain a clean customs compliance record, and avoid costly delays or penalties.

Job Description

  • End-to-End Declaration Operations: Manage complete, full-lifecycle customs declaration workflows for both imports and exports, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant clearance.
  • Document Preparation & Verification: Oversee the drafting, collecting, and rigorous review of all required shipping and trade documents (e.g., Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and Customs Declarations) to prevent delays and non-compliance risks.
  • Classification & Standard Setting: Establish, update, and maintain the company's Harmonized System (HS) code database and product classification standards to align with local and international customs regulations.
  • Process & SOP Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for customs compliance, valuation, origin rules, and operational efficiency.
  • Inspection & Inquiry Handling: Coordinate directly with customs authorities and brokers to resolve hold-ups, inspections, audits, and official inquiries in a swift and compliant manner.
  • Risk Management & Cross-Functional Support: Conduct periodic compliance reviews, evaluate tariff impacts, and collaborate with logistics, procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to streamline international trade processes.

Requirement

  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics or other related discipline with solid knowledge of international trade and logistics.
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience with practical understanding of Chinese customs procedures and familiarity with the customs regimes of key countries including US, Korea, Japan, EU, etc. , especially HTS/HS classification principles.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal Finance Team, Production House and external forwarders.
  • Strong interpersonal communication.
  • High English proficiency for reading regulations and communicating with internal and external partners; Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Candidates who have direct experience in customs declaration for mobile phone cases, consumer electronics, and lifestyle accessories are preferred.
  • Able to work independently, handle multi-tasks and work under pressure.
  • Good computer knowledge (MS excel and Chinese Word Processing).
  • Experience in Oracle NetSuite EPR system is a plus.
  • Immediately available is preferred.
