Job description

The Company:

Faraday Future (FF) is a California-based mobility company, leveraging the latest technologies and world’s best talent to realize exciting new possibilities in mobility. We’re producing user-centric, technology-first vehicles to establish new paradigms in human-vehicle interaction. We’re not just seeking to change how our cars work – we’re seeking to change the way we drive. At FF, we’re creating something new, something connected, and something with a true global impact.

Your Role:

As a Robotics Operations & SW Test Engineer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to ensure the seamless execution, maintenance, and quality assurance of FF's diverse advanced robotics platforms, including humanoid robots, Wheeled Manipulator Robots, and quadrupedal robotic dogs. In this multi-faceted role, you will perform routine operations, manage daily product demonstrations, and execute software maintenance according to user manuals. Utilizing platform-provided SDKs, you will collaborate closely with software developers to perform end-to-end functional validation, regression testing, and robot telemetry data analysis, perception systems validation, testing metrics tracking, and identifying system anomalies using data-driven methodologies to ensure operational stability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Big Data, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in software development, validation, QA engineering, data analytics, or software testing.
  • Manual and automated test execution, hardware/software integration, and multi-platform software validation (primarily Linux and Windows environments).
  • Robust programming proficiency in Python, Bash or similar scripting languages for automated test suite development, data parsing, and log evaluation.
  • Linux operating systems, version control systems (Git), and issue tracking ecosystems (such as Jira or GitHub Issues).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or an equivalent advanced quantitative engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on debugging and development using embedded middleware, specifically ROS/ROS2 (Robot Operating System) concepts, nodes, and topic logging.
  • Practical experience in designing, optimizing, or testing Computer Vision pipelines (using PyTorch, OpenCV, or equivalent tools) and deploying perception models on embedded physical hardware
  • Foundational understanding of Machine Learning concepts, Neural Networks, and deep learning libraries (such as TensorFlow or PyTorch) for parsing intelligent telemetry data and detecting system anomalies.
  • Extensive experience in analyzing robotic sensor/actuator data, diagnostic logging, and executing SDK-based integration tests on live physical hardware.
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
  • Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies.

Salary Range:
