We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.As Proposal Manager of the Development (fundraising) operations team, you will play a critical role that devises strategies to enable the country’s top business and philanthropic leaders to maximize their financial and leadership contributions to tackle the nation’s most complex challenges. You will provide world-class strategic and operational leadership for Stand Together’s complex, large opportunities ($500k+) with sales stage discipline.You’ll collaborate closely with Partnership Advisors, Partnership Success Managers, leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure that large, multifaceted deals move through shared vision opportunity stages. Your work will directly enable our partners to lead clear ask plans and proposals, accelerating pledges and fulfillment.This is a high-visibility role that combines strategic thinking, operational rigor, and relationship management — ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is motivated by meaningful outcomes.Are you excited to apply your program management and operations expertise to address some of the nation’s most complex challenges? - Coordinate ask plan and proposal creation for our largest opportunities; initiate kick off meetings, develop outlines & schedules and overall proposal/ask plan win strategies while being compliant with our messaging frameworks and branding; program managing deal support for high-value opportunities ensuring structure, clarity, and timely execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Partnership Advisors, fundraising strategy, marketing, legal, and finance to align objectives, streamline processes, and produce compliant, accurate, and clean proposal/ask plan products that improve our win rates and reduce cycle time.
- Develop and maintain oversight and best practices for deal frameworks, templates, and best practices to drive operational consistency and efficiency, building long-term capability.
- Analyze partnership opportunities and provide insights that inform decision making, pledge strategy, and risk assessment.
- Report on pipeline and deal progress for executive leadership, offering data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Continuously improve deal processes to increase effectiveness, enable scale, and ensure the right knowledge is acquired at the right time.
What You Will Bring- 8+ years of experience in proposal management, business operations, strategic partnerships, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional deals or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and a drive for operational efficiency.
- Ability to identify trends and commonality across opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Solutions-oriented, principled, and motivated by contribution and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a multifaceted organization to create a world class experience for our donor partners.
- Proficient with project management tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
