THE OPPORTUNITY
ModernFi is seeking an individual to join our Product organization and help shape the products that power over 900 banks and credit unions nationwide. From day one, you will have significant ownership over how we understand our clients, define our roadmap, and build our platform. As a founding member of the Product unit, you will work at the intersection of our clients, our engineers, and our business, and you will become a definitive subject matter expert on ModernFi's product capabilities and direction.
We are hiring across seniority levels, and your level will be determined during the interview process.

THE ROLE
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Immerse yourself in the client experience. Spend time with banks and credit unions, understand their workflows and needs, and synthesize what you learn into clear product direction.
- Translate client and market needs into crisp requirements and partner closely with engineering to ship elegant, impactful products.
- Drive roadmap definition and prioritization alongside product leadership, balancing client needs, business goals, and engineering capacity.
- Contribute to product and market strategy, including competitive analysis and opportunity sizing.
- Operate truly cross-functionally, working equally with engineering and with business development teams across pre- and post-sales.
- Become the go-to expert on ModernFi's product, services, and operational capabilities for clients and colleagues alike.
ABOUT YOU
- A strong analytical toolkit: you are fluent with data and comfortable building your own analyses to answer hard questions.
- The ability and appetite to become technically conversant: you can learn to engage engineers on APIs, integrations, and system design, even if you can't today.
- Exceptional structured thinking and communication: both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complexity for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Deep curiosity about clients: you want to understand how they work, what they need, and why.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- High level of empathy, integrity, and calmness under pressure.
- Prior product experience is not required. We value judgment, drive, and the ability to learn quickly over titles.
- Interest in financial systems and the opportunity to work on meaningful problems with real-world impact.
