Job description

At Kargo, our mission is to build a connective tissue between the physical world of freight and the digital ecosystem used to manage it. We believe that advancements in smart infrastructure are critical to enabling a safer and more efficient future for logistics.  Our loading dock sensor platform verifies all incoming and outgoing freight, aggregating data that enables shippers and carriers to efficiently manage dock operations, switch out suppliers and understand material flow in real time.

We care deeply about delivering the best solutions for our customers. As a member of the Kargo team, you will have the agency to develop and deploy the future of hardware and software solutions and help revolutionize logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Own product positioning, messaging, and value propositions, translating Kargo’s complex AI, computer vision, hardware, and logistics technology into clear compelling value for customers.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, features, and capabilities in partnership with Product, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Build a deep understanding of our customers, buyers, and users through customer conversations, market research, and partnering with our customer-facing teams.
  • Develop buyer personas, use cases, and messaging frameworks that articulate customer pain points, Kargo’s differentiation and measurable business impact.
  • Own competitive intelligence and develop positioning, battlecards, and insights that help Kargo differentiate in the market and win enterprise opportunities.
  • Create sales enablement materials including pitch decks, solution briefs, product overviews, use cases, and ROI/value narratives that help our Sales Team effectively communicate Kargo’s value.
  • Partner with our Content Marketer to develop the product narratives, customer insights, use cases, and proof points that shape case studies, thought leadership, website content, and campaigns.
  • Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, bringing market insights into product strategy and ensuring consistent messaging across the customer journey.

Experience

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally within B2B enterprise technology, AI, SaaS, or another technically complex product environment.
  • Proven experience developing product positioning, messaging, value propositions, and go-to-market strategies for new products and features.
  • Strong ability to understand complex technical products and translate technical capabilities into clear, compelling business value for enterprise customers.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to drive product launches, sales enablement, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills, with experience developing customer-facing messaging, sales collateral, competitive positioning, and executive-level narratives.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or other equivalent experience.
