Role: Phlebotomist / HCA (Band 2 & 3)
Location: Brighton
Pay Rates: £18.00 – £25.78 per hour
Shifts: Monday – Sunday (08:00 – 19:30)


About the Role

Pulse Nursing Agency is currently recruiting experienced Phlebotomists and Healthcare Assistants to support an exciting national research initiative – the Our Future Health Project in Brighton.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a large-scale healthcare programme while working flexible shifts and earning competitive rates.


Pay Rates

  • Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour
  • Saturday: £20.96 per hour
  • Sunday & Bank Holidays: £25.78 per hour

Key Responsibilities

As a Phlebotomist/HCA, you will:

  • Carry out POCT testing, including cholesterol checks
  • Record height, weight, waist measurements, blood pressure, and heart rate
  • Perform venepuncture (2 samples per participant), ensuring correct labelling and storage
  • Accurately record patient data on the system
  • Monitor participant wellbeing throughout appointments and escalate concerns appropriately

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • A Phlebotomy Certificate
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in blood collection
  • Experience taking patient observations (vital signs)
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Right to Work in the UK
