The People Operations Generalist plays a critical role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent at Artera. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing full-cycle recruiting ownership with broad exposure to People Operations in a fast-growing startup environment. You will partner closely with hiring managers and leadership while helping build scalable, people-first programs and processes.

People Operations:
  • Support core HR programs, including performance management, employee development, and retention initiatives

  • Partner on performance review cycles, including calibration and manager enablement

  • Assist in developing and maintaining HR policies, processes, and documentation

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations

  • Partner closely with Finance and other cross-functional stakeholders on People Operations-related processes, reporting, and documentation, and assist with internal and external audits as needed

  • Process employee expense reports and reimbursements.

  • Assist with monthly payroll and benefits reconciliations.

  • Own culture and engagement initiatives throughout the organization

  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation

  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Own and manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective job descriptions and recruiting strategies

  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of qualified candidates across multiple functions

  • Leverage various sourcing channels, tools, and networks to attract top talent

  • Ensure a high-quality, consistent candidate experience throughout the hiring process

  • Employee Experience & Relations:
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and provide guidance on HR-related matters

  • Support employee relations activities, including addressing concerns, conducting investigations when needed, and resolving issues thoughtfully and fairly

  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives to foster an inclusive, high-performing culture

  • Conduct regular check-ins to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Support employee offboarding processes in compliance with company policies and legal requirements

  • People Operations Projects & Initiatives:
  • Contribute to career development initiatives, including job architecture, competencies, and growth frameworks

  • Partner with the People Operations Manager on systems implementation and process improvements

  • Help optimize HR tools and workflows to improve efficiency and employee experience

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in recruitment and HR generalist roles, preferably in a startup or tech environment.

  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and labor laws.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
