Job description

RenoFi is the modern home lending platform where the country's best loan officers build their business.

We're a fintech wearing a mortgage brokerage's clothes: proprietary renovation products no one else can offer, a national credit union network that delivers exclusive rates and product breadth, and AI-powered marketing & origination tooling that fuels exponential growth for our loan officers. It's why originators stop shop-hopping when they get here.

We're hiring a Product Development Manager to own that shelf end-to-end: the lender relationships behind it, the products on it, and the internal knowledge base that lets any LO originate any loan from anywhere, at any time.

This role reports directly to our EVP of National Production, who sits on our executive team. We're a small company of operators — this is a hands-on IC role with real ownership and exec visibility. If you're looking for a seat where you manage a team and delegate the work, this isn't it.

What You'll Own

The RenoFi Wiki — our lender & product knowledge base

The Wiki is the most robust internal lender guide we've seen anywhere. The test: a new LO on their first day should be able to pick a lender and submit a loan at 11pm — 100% self-serve, no one else online. You own that standard.

  • Keep the Wiki accurate and current as lenders change guidelines, overlays, pricing, or programs

  • Track lender-specific overlays vs. agency/investor baselines; manage the change process (who needs to know, which pipeline loans are affected)

  • Own "Every Loan Has a Story" — capture the learnings from every loan (unique structures, exceptions, approvals, what worked) and route them back into the Wiki so nothing gets lost. Surface the LOs who are doing standout work so others can learn from it.

  • New lender onboarding

  • Evaluate inbound and outbound lender partnership opportunities: business case, product overlap with our existing shelf, gap-fill rationale, exec recommendation

  • Own onboarding end-to-end: broker application (partnering with Legal on the sensitive bits), portal setup, understanding their product and process, how it integrates into RenoFi's systems

  • Build training materials for each new lender/product and deploy to the RenoFi team

  • Announce new partnerships internally; partner with Marketing on lender-specific collateral, rate sheets, and comparison tools

  • Ongoing lender administration, strategy & reporting

  • Maintain lender portals (LO credentials, correct entity assignment, licensed addresses, etc.)

  • Lead annual renewals and any pricing negotiations; track significant contract terms; own the offboarding/termination process

  • Serve as the internal escalation point for stuck loans, pricing exceptions, or underwriting exceptions requiring lender-side intervention

  • Own reporting and dashboards to leadership: volume by lender, margin and profitability by lender, concentration risk

  • Build and own a lender strategy roadmap — which relationships to grow, consolidate, or sunset

  • Run periodic business reviews with our most important lender partners

  • What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years in mortgage, with meaningful time in product development, product management, underwriting, secondary marketing, or capital markets. Deep product literacy across agency, non-agency, home equity, and renovation lending (construction-to-perm, HomeStyle/CHOICERenovation, or ARV-based products)

  • Experience managing investor, correspondent, or wholesale lender relationships — credit union experience is a strong plus

  • Strong LO/underwriter scenario chops: you can read a difficult file and know how to structure it

  • A writer. Guides, guidelines, LO comms, and marketing review are half the job — the Wiki bar is high

  • An operator, not a delegator — you want to do the work, not just oversee it

  • Technology savvy, leaning into AI, can pick up new software tools quickly

  • Nice to Have
  • Credit union channel experience

  • Speak Sales; a deep understanding of or exposure to origination

  • Built or run a scenario / product help desk

  • Experience serving as broker of record or lender POC for a mortgage company

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, LOS/POS, and PPE tools
