The Role

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator that has a class A driver's license to be responsible for delivering our modular walls and ceiling to specific job sites. This position ensures our job sites have timely and reliable product delivery to satisfy company home completion schedules. The Logistics Coordinator serves as one of the logistic resources for our Construction department and works closely with the Production Control department to identify loads and maintain delivery schedules that supports company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and assigned transportation equipment.
  • Pick up, transport, and deliver materials and equipment to designated job sites and company locations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure loads are properly secured before transport.
  • Verify shipment contents, documentation, and visible product condition prior to departure and delivery.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules, shipment status, route planning, and jobsite requirements with internal teams.
  • Complete delivery documentation, inspection records, photographs, signatures, and electronic confirmations.
  • Communicate and escalate delays, product damage, equipment concerns, site-access issues, or other risks that may impact delivery.
  • Support trailer, VTC, and container staging, yard movements, returns, and demobilization activities.
  • Assist with logistics coordination, inventory tracking, shipment records, vendor communication, and warehouse support as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve route efficiency, consolidate loads, reduce unnecessary trips, and improve transportation utilization.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety requirements, DOT/FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, ELD requirements, and applicable transportation laws.
  • Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
  • Support additional Logistics and Production Control activities as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of Class A commercial driving experience.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate as required.
  • Acceptable driving record meeting company and insurance requirements.
  • Experience with flatbed transportation, load securement, and permitted loads.
  • Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, ELD requirements, and commercial vehicle inspections.
  • Logistics coordination, dispatching, scheduling, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain company-required certification.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use mobile devices and electronic systems for delivery documentation, scheduling, inventory, and communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, early starts, overtime, and weekends as required.

Compensation

Offers are based on a combination of experience, skills, and location. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the hourly pay range for this role is $38.00-$45. per hour for Hayward, CA.
