Job Title: Biomedical Scientist in Haematology

Banding: Band 6

Location: Hampshire

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Working Pattern: Working Monday – Friday 9-5pm while training with the potential requirement to work shifts after training is complete (Lates, Nights & Cores).

Hourly Rate: £25-£27

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology to join our client’s team in Hampshire. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

You will perform full blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film morphology. You will ensure accurate analysis, maintain quality control, and collaborate with clinical teams.

Qualifications and Experience

- HCPC registration

- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent

- Experience in Haematology within a clinical laboratory

- Experience with DxH900, Stago Star Max 3, Starsted ESR analysers and using Winpath Enterprise LIMS.  Experience of morphology and malaria identification/screening required.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- NHS experience (required)
