Job description

About Tia

Tia is building a new model for women’s healthcare — one that treats women as whole people, not separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, and wellness across both in-person and virtual settings, Tia is improving outcomes, lowering costs, and creating a better experience for patients and providers alike.

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Primary Care Physician to provide exceptional patient care and serve as the onsite clinical leader for our Silver Lake clinic.

This is a patient-facing leadership opportunity for a physician who wants to mentor clinicians, influence clinical quality, and help shape the patient and provider experience while remaining deeply engaged in direct care.

You’ll partner closely with clinic operations and market clinical leadership to support your provider team, address complex clinical questions, strengthen care quality, and identify opportunities to improve how the clinic operates.

This role includes dedicated, protected leadership time for provider support, clinical quality work, and partnership with operations.

Why Tia

  • Meaningful clinical leadership without leaving patient care
  • Protected time for leadership, documentation, care coordination, and team collaboration
  • Opportunity to mentor and support an interdisciplinary provider team
  • AI-supported documentation designed to reduce charting burden
  • Quarterly performance bonus with a 10% target
  • $8,000 annual leadership stipend
  • Equity ownership
  • Opportunity to influence Tia’s evolving women’s healthcare model
  • Thoughtfully designed clinic in Silver Lake

What You’ll Do

Provide Exceptional Patient Care

  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based primary care and routine women’s healthcare.
  • Manage preventive care, acute concerns, chronic conditions, mental health needs, and common gynecologic concerns.
  • Provide inclusive, affirming, and patient-centered care grounded in shared decision-making.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and time-sensitive patient care questions.
  • Model strong clinical judgment, documentation, communication, and accountability.

Lead and Develop the Clinical Team

  • Serve as the onsite clinical leader for physicians and advanced practice providers at the Silver Lake clinic.
  • Support provider onboarding, mentorship, development, and ongoing clinical collaboration.
  • Foster a team culture grounded in clinical excellence, accountability, trust, and continuous learning.
  • Provide timely coaching and feedback in partnership with market clinical leadership.
  • Help clinicians navigate complex cases, clinical workflows, and care delivery challenges.

Strengthen Clinical Quality and Clinic Operations

  • Partner with clinic operations to improve workflows, patient access, team effectiveness, and the provider experience.
  • Review relevant clinical quality and patient experience data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support consistent implementation of Tia’s clinical standards, documentation expectations, and care model.
  • Share frontline insights that help improve Tia’s clinical programs, workflows, and technology.

What You’ll Bring

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted California medical license and DEA registration.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • 3+ years of outpatient primary care experience.
  • At least one year of formal or informal clinical leadership experience, such as mentoring clinicians, serving as a clinical lead, supporting quality initiatives, or leading team-based improvements.
  • Experience providing routine gynecologic and reproductive healthcare, including contraception, STI care, and preventive women’s health.
  • Experience addressing common outpatient mental health needs within primary care.
  • Strong clinical judgment and comfort serving as a resource for complex patient and team situations.
  • Collaborative leadership style and the ability to partner effectively with clinical and operational teams.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, inclusive, affirming, and patient-centered care.

Tia provides specialized training in menopause care, sexual health, medical dermatology, weight management, and relevant clinical procedures. Prior experience in every area is not required.
