About the Role

The North America Programs Manager will lead the design, development, and execution of FEE's single and multi-day seminar programming in Washington, DC and occasionally in Ottawa — creating world-class, immersive experiences that introduce students, recent graduates, and institutional partners to lens-shifting concepts at the intersection of public policy and economics. This is an opportunity for a driven builder to combine a passion for the foundational concepts in economic freedom with expertise in program management, curriculum design, external affairs, and high-impact event execution.

This role owns the full product lifecycle of FEE's seminar experiences — primarily in DC, with some programming in Ottawa — from concept and curriculum development through logistics, partner acquisition and coordination, and on-the-ground execution. Programs serve intellectually curious students, recent graduates, and institutional partners and cover economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, technology and innovation, and the foundational principles of free and prosperous societies. The ideal candidate brings knowledge of economic frameworks from classical economics, Austrian economics, and Public Choice Theory, familiarity with current US public policy issues, a systems-thinking mindset, thrives in fast-moving environments, and understands that the best educational experiences don't just teach ideas — they awaken and inspire participants, forever changing how they see the world.

The North America Programs Manager will be based out of FEEs Dupont-Circle office. In-person employment is expected. This position reports to the Director of Student Programs and works closely with FEEs DC-based Chief Programs and Innovation Officer. The Programs Manager will supervise one direct report.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full product lifecycle of FEE's North-American single and multi-day seminars — from concept and curriculum development through logistics, partner coordination, and on-the-ground execution.
  • Design, execute, and continuously refine the FEE educational experience across all seminar touchpoints.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly with speakers, attendees, and partners to ensure high satisfaction and successful program completion.
  • Refine program planning processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the Chief Programs and Innovation Officer and Student Programs Director on new product ideas and initiatives.
  • Track, analyze, and report relevant program metrics to measure impact and inform product decisions.
  • Develop and manage DC and Ottawa-area venue relationships, vendor contracts, and event logistics end-to-end.
  • Develop, monitor, and track related budgeting considerations
  • Maintain accurate reporting in Salesforce for all of the program opportunities
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement when constructive feedback is received.
  • Key Qualifications and Skills
  • 3–5+ years of experience in program management, event production, or educational product development — ideally within a nonprofit, think tank, or mission-driven organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-day, in-person programming from concept through execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong customer service skills.
  • Public speaking skills are strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.), customer relationship management (CRM) technology (Salesforce), and project management tools (Monday.com) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience organizing and juggling multiple priorities while maintaining careful attention to detail.
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial — takes initiative, identifies problems before they surface, and drives solutions with minimal supervision.
  • A collaborative personality; unafraid of challenge.
  • A commitment to the mission and principles of FEE.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5-10%.
  • Everything You Need, One Platform.
