Job description

About Remote People

At Remote People, we're building the infrastructure to power borderless teams. By handling global payroll, benefits, taxes, and compliance, our technology enables businesses to hire anyone anywhere compliantly at the push of a button.

If you're interested in adding to our vision of enabling people to work in dream jobs, for every company, and from anywhere in the world, apply now!

We're committed to building a global, diverse team representing different and varied backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. We welcome applications from everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, civil or family status, age, or disability. Being part of Remote People means being part of a growing, international family.

We're hiring a Global Workforce Compliance Advisor to fix that: to own the construction, verification, and ongoing accuracy of our global EOR knowledge base, and to be the single source of truth our operations, legal, and automation teams all build on.

This is a business-judgment role, not an administrative one. You'll work directly with Legal to reconcile statutory rules, with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, HR, and Occupational Safety teams to confirm operational standards, and with our Automations team to turn verified knowledge into AI-driven consultation logic and automated case handling.

What you'll do
  • Build and continuously maintain country-level EOR knowledge covering labor relations, payroll & benefits, HR attendance & leave, business travel & expense, and occupational safety.
  • Verify legal and labor-relation content jointly with the Legal team; lead cross-functional verification of business-domain rules with Payroll, Finance, HR, and OHS.
  • Own the final execution standard (what we internally call L3) and the data governance of our JUNO CPD platform — the layer every automated decision is built on.
  • Act as the business lead for knowledge-driven automation: structure verified rules into scenarios the Automations team can build against, and sign off on outputs before go-live.
  • Track project progress across every collaborating team and report status, risks, and blockers to the Operations Strategist.
What you bring
  • A bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, International Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in staffing, global payroll, or EOR / contingent workforce operations.
  • Working knowledge across the full third-party employment picture: labor relations, payroll & benefits, HR attendance & leave, travel & expense, and occupational safety.
  • Experience building or maintaining an operational knowledge base, and coordinating cross-department rule verification.
  • Fluent English, spoken and written — required. You'll be reconciling knowledge across countries and functions, and writing the standard others rely on, in English.
  • Sharp attention to detail — you notice when two sources of "truth" quietly disagree.
Nice to have
  • Comfortable using AI tools to speed up drafting, research, and knowledge upkeep.
  • Prior work spanning multiple countries' EOR compliance requirements.
