- **Attune** is building developer tools for a post-AI world.
Our first product is faster build tools that require zero migration effort. AI is enabling engineers to write code faster than ever. The next bottleneck will be all the other tooling between code and deployment.
We’re looking for a Founding Software Engineer to help us build the future of software development: someone with the taste to see how the future of software development should look, and the autonomy and pragmatism to build that future.
### This is for you if
* **You care deeply about the craft of software engineering.** We think the best tools can only be built by people who earnestly care.
* **You’re comfortable jumping around in different programming languages.** We’ll mostly be building in Rust, but you should expect to quickly pick up other languages in order to understand how their build systems work.
* **You’re unafraid of digging into black boxes.** Hacking compilers tends to involve a lot of reading the spec, realizing that the spec is incomplete, and then reading the source code to understand behavior.
* **You own problems end-to-end.** Building the future involves talking to customers, understanding their needs, navigating ambiguity, and wearing lots of hats. Bonus points if you’ve shipped 0-to-1 in production before.
