Job description

      

The CU Financial Analyst position supports management decision-making by assisting in the preparation and review of business plans and forecasts. This role provides analysis to management and the ALCO Committee on key financial metrics such as liquidity, profitability, and net interest income. Additionally, the position maintains Financial Performance systems in compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting liquidity forecasting and stress testing, and delivering ad hoc analysis to facilitate informed decision-making. The Analyst also serves as the primary point of contact for the secondary market function.

         

          

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Assists in preparation and review of business plans, forecasts, and budgets through use of ALM modeling or other tools.  
  • Provides management and ALCO Committee with review and analysis of ALM modeling and reporting (e.g Liquidity, Profitability, Net Economic Value and Net Interest Income). 
  • Maintains and updates Financial Performance systems in accordance with prescribed methods of use and regulatory requirements.    
  • Performs liquidity forecasting, reporting and stress testing. 
  • Develops and runs data/reports from multiple systems for analysis and reporting. 
  • Provides ad hoc analysis as needed to ensure management has necessary information to make decisions.  
  • Serves as the primary analyst for the secondary market function. Performs daily duties, training and guidance for mortgage staff and analysts including, secondary market guidelines, loan level price adjustments, pricing policies and procedures, loan sales and deliveries to our investors, rate lock guidance, and loan operating system configuration. 

 

 

This role will interact with individual contributors within Thrivent, field organization, external vendors, contractors and/or consultants, Thrivent clients, and manager and/or directors within Thrivent.   

 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:   


 Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bank accounting or finance discipline 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in secondary market or financial analyst role. 

 

Preferred:   

  • Attainment of CPA or CFA preferred

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $77,478.00 - $104,823.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
