As the Finance Manager, you will be the responsible for PayMongo’s financial accounting, consolidation and reporting, and local taxation. You will build. manage and lead a lean, agile and technology-savvy team of accountants responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and reliability of PayMongo’s financial records that benefits its stakeholders such as employees, partner merchants and financial institutions, regulators and investors. Your experience in establishing and maintaining sound internal control will also be critical in embedding the necessary financial discipline as PayMongo continuously scale.
You will:
Manage the day-to-day operations of PayMongo’s general accounting functions – AR, AP, P2P, O2C, fixed assets, intercompany accounting and taxationReview financial transactions, ensuring that the accounting is correct and relevant documentations are in orderManage the periodic monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processOversee and manage financial reports related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, settlement and payout reconciliations, accruals, and deferralsProduce the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements of the GroupProactively manage the annual audits and ensure compliance to regulations, including but not limited to BIR, SEC, and BSPImplement best practice internal control and governance across the organizationWork side-by-side with HR, Treasury and FP&A. Ensure that the CFO and the top management team are sufficiently informed and engaged about key finance issues and concerns
You may be fit if:
You are a CPA with at least six (6) years of meaningful experience in external audit or general accounting gained from a Big 4 firm, local or international companies preferably SME companies or startupsYou have a working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and taxation (including transfer pricing)You possess exceptional people management skills with at least two (2) years of experience leading a teamYou have an excellent attention to detail, with the ability and patience to dive deep into data to check for inaccuracies and perform corrective actionsYou are experienced in using cloud-based applications for finance such as Xero and NetSuiteYou show strong organizational skills, proven ability to execute processes and a flexible approach to problem-solvingYou have a clear communication style, and the willingness to tailor your message to different audiences—including the ability to work with senior management.You are comfortable with ambiguity and are truly flexible—our environment changes rapidly, and your work might too!
