Job description

About Re:Build

At Re:Build, our mission is to ensure the next generation of important products are made, at scale, in America. We are laying the foundation for a better future for our customers, employees, and communities by revitalizing America's manufacturing base and creating meaningful jobs across the country, including in historically deindustrialized regions.

We operate an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform that partners with industrial companies and innovators to take products from first concept to full-scale production in critical verticals including aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy and environment, and robotics and automation.

The way we operate is as important as the work we do. It's guided by The Re:Build Way, 16 principles that shape how we collaborate with each other, partner with our customers and vendors, and contribute to the communities where we operate. (link to The Re:Build Way principles)

About Re:Build DAPR Engineering

Re:Build DAPR Engineering, LLC (DAPR) is an engineering design and analysis consulting firm in Merrimack, New Hampshire. We work with customers across many industries to develop and deliver turnkey industrial machines to meet their unique requirements. We design and build custom automation solutions, work with OEM’s to develop industrial products, and provide engineering analysis using FEA tools.

Who We Are Looking For
You are a procurement professional who is comfortable working at the intersection of engineering, sourcing, and project execution. You know how to turn drawings, bills of materials, and technical requirements into smart purchasing decisions, and you enjoy partnering with engineers, suppliers, and internal teams to keep projects moving. This role is a strong fit for someone who can balance cost, lead time, and technical specifications without losing sight of quality or project goals.

You will thrive here if you are organized, collaborative, and confident navigating changing priorities in an engineering or manufacturing environment. If you have experience supporting product development, prototyping, or broader project lifecycle activities, this role offers the chance to have a direct impact on getting the right materials and components in place at the right time.

What You Get To Do

  • Source mechanical, electrical, and custom-engineered components and materials based on engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
  • Manage supplier quote requests, confirm lead times, clarify technical questions, and help ensure supplier commitments align with project schedules.
  • Coordinate procurement for prototype builds, including ordering, tracking, and kitting materials to support development milestones.
  • Partner with design engineers to interpret drawings, validate part selections, confirm specification compliance, and support design-for-sourcing improvements.
  • Research and recommend alternate suppliers or components to reduce risk related to obsolescence, long lead times, and cost overruns.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, sourcing, and operations teams to support project lifecycle needs, resolve procurement issues, and improve sourcing processes.

What You Bring To The Team

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, procurement documents, and supplier correspondence.
  • Experience using ERP systems to manage procurement activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-driven environment.
  • Ability to evaluate cost, lead time, and technical requirements to make informed sourcing decisions and resolve issues.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 10%–20% as needed for supplier engagement, trade shows, project support, or site visits.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting engineering development, prototyping, or full project lifecycle phases.
  • Familiarity with basic algebraic and statistical concepts to support cost modeling and sourcing analysis.

The base salary range for this position is $60,635.27 – $90,952.90 per year. This range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
