As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will drive and lead a large-scale migration from VMware-based infrastructure to OpenShift (Kubernetes). This role combines technical leadership, architectural decision-making, and hands-on expertise to ensure a smooth, scalable, and secure transition.
How your day-to-day work will look like:

β―Lead the design and execution of the migration from VMware to OpenShift.β―
β
β―Define target architecture, including cluster design, networking, and security.β―
β
β―Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps engineers.β―
β
β―Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor).β―
β
β―Design and implement CI/CD and GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
β
β―Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the platform.
β
β―Oversee containerization of legacy applications.
β
β―Establish Infrastructure as Code practices using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
β
β―Implement observability solutions (monitoring, logging, tracing).
β
β―Identify risks and define mitigation strategies during migration.
This would make you the ideal candidate:
β¨ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.β―
β¨ 7+ Years of experience working in DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering.
β¨ 3+ Years of experience working with Kubernetes/OpenShift in production environments.
β¨ Strong experience designing and implementing container-based architectures.
β¨ Proven experience leading infrastructure or application migration projects.
β¨ Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
β¨ Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
β¨ Strong knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, ingress, SDN).
β¨ Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
β¨ Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
