Reporting to the Senior Director of Channel & Distribution, the Director of Channel Operations leads the account management, including contractual and operational implementation, launch readiness, and continuous improvement of the company's specialty pharmacy network. The role serves as the specialty pharmacy operations subject matter expert for Revolution Medicines’ US market.
This leader translates channel, access and brand strategies into scalable operating processes, partner governance, performance measures, and issue-resolution pathways that support timely patient access to product(s). The role balances strategic planning with hands-on oversight and collaborates closely with Distribution, Patient Services, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Information Sciences, and Business Insights ensuring department and enterprise goals are achieved in a compliant manner.
This position is based out of our headquarters in Redwood City, CA, or remote.

Account lead for Revolution Medicine’s specialty pharmacy partners.

Program Implementation: Lead the channel operations workstream for new-product launch readiness, including partner onboarding, operating-process design, data readiness, testing, SOPs, go-live criteria, and post-launch stabilization.

Operational Oversight: Translate approved channel and distribution strategy into scalable operational plans across specialty pharmacy partners.

Establish and lead partner-governance cadences, service-level reviews, scorecards, escalation pathways, and corrective-action follow-through to improve fulfillment, data, inventory, and service performance.

Monitor channel partner performance; identify emerging risks and lead cross-functional actions that support timely patient access, product availability, and customer service.

Use specialty-pharmacy, and patient-services data to identify delays, root causes, and process improvement opportunities; communicate clear performance insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Drive network performance to improve patient access, conversion, and adherence across targeted partners.

Oversee the operational administration of channel agreements, including service performance, scorecards, and issue escalation, in partnership with Finance, Pricing, Legal, Data Management, Account Management, and Supply Chain.

Support field teams with tools, insights, and channel-specific strategies to enhance provider and patient access.

Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor and analyze business performance fulfillment data, identify delays or inefficiencies in collaboration with the Patient Services (PS) and Business Insights teams to implement solutions.

Collaborate with Distribution on channel partner inventory levels, orders, and supply fulfillment performance to optimize product availability.

Establish and lead partner accountability through QBRs, performance management, and data-driven insights.

Monitor and manage performance across KPIs, including patient onboarding, adherence, dispense performance, inventory, and service quality.

Participate in 3PL, SD, and Patient Services quarterly business reviews.

Vendor Management: Oversee specialty pharmacy contractual operations, including service level performance, quarterly scorecards, and work closely with Data Management and Business Support to ensure compliant management of invoices for channel partners data and services.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Distribution, Patient Support Team, Commercial Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Insights to align tactical operations with corporate strategy.

SOP Management: Develop, implement & maintain operational SOPs related to Channel activities, including the communication, implementation, adherence to, and ongoing maintenance of those SOPs related to systems, processes, data, and reporting templates.

Work collaboratively with Data Aggregator and Insights team to ensure data received from our channel partners are accurate and validated.

Support and maintain a high level of communication and collaboration with key partners within the distribution network (e.g. PS, Customer Support, Supply Chain), including issue management.

Training & Enablement: Train internal stakeholders and external customers on specialty pharmacy operations and channel logistics.

People Management: Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team by providing clear direction, regular coaching, timely feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.

Issue Resolution: Proactively manage operational issues with urgency and professionalism, ensuring timely communication and resolution.

Ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.

Minimum 6–8 years years of progressive experience in working with specialty pharmacy(s) and patient services in pharmaceuticals or biopharma.

Expertise in working directly with Specialty Pharmacy and Patient Services partners.

Deep understanding of US drug channel dynamics.

Demonstrated success in executing operational channel programs, including product launch readiness and issue triage.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating across Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.

Strong problem solver with experience leveraging a variety of data sources, platforms, and analytical vendors.

Excellent organizational skills and project management capability to prioritize effectively to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Ability to represent Revolution Medicines well: strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.

Willingness to travel up to 25%.
